Chisom had his Honours Degree in Rivers State University, Port Harcourt and later earned his Master of Laws Degree from the University of Swansea in South Wales, United Kingdom with a specialization in International Maritime and Commercial Law and several other academic awards.
In over 10 years of active service; Chisom has acquired cognate experience of law practice with an undiluted and unwavering love for litigation both in Civil and Criminal matters. He has diverse litigation experience in State, Federal and Appellate Court trials and has successfully handled Appeals before The Nigerian Court of Appeal And Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Chisom has also written several publications and has given presentations on a variety of issues including those related child abuses, sexual offences and Maritime/shipping related issues.

Prior to the formation of Law Freight Attorneys, Chisom was an associate member of K.O Atsuwete & Co.
In his quest for more knowledge to solidify his areas of specialty, Chisom has attended shiploads of Maritime courses and conferences in France, UK, USA (the International Association of Maritime Economist Conference in a Post Expansion Panama Era, held 2014 in Norfolk Virginia USA).
Chisom is undoubtedly an active core member of The Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt branch and has attended several bar conferences both in Nigeria and internationally.
Aside from his specialty and litigation prowess; as a way of giving back to the society he has worked with international human rights lawyers. He offers pro bono services on cases related to sexual offenses, child molestation issues, probate matters, child welfare, domestic violence and family/divorce issues to the less privileged.
